"(Center Stage Playhouse) must be doing something right." -- NYTheatrecast.com
I went to see A New Brain again tonight at Center Stage Playhouse with my wife, one of my sisters, and her boyfriend. They were impressed with the show, as I knew they would be. The choreography, the singing, the acting, everything about it really raises the bar on what audiences can expect from community theater.
This week is also the 40th Anniversary party for Center Stage at Foster Hall, the landmark chapel that's served as the theatrical home of CSCP for years. It's amazing that for forty years non-stop, Center Stage has been providing affordable theater entertainment at affordable prices to the Bronx Community and theater-lovers throughout New York's metroplitan area.
Some of you who are reading this know Center Stage very well and have been supporting it for years. Some of you might be discovering it for the first time. To learn more about its history, check out the timeline on the Center Stage Web site, or listen to this podcast of my interview with NYTheatrecast.com
Happy anniversary, Center Stage. I'm looking forward to many more years to come!
