Read Anything Good Lately?

Summertime means summer reading. What's on your reading list?

As you know, when it comes to fiction, I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy. I also enjoy a broad range of non-fiction, topics from politics, to religion, to sports, to art, to film and television history, to media theory.

Alistair Cooke's America; Patrick O'Brian's "The Letter of Marque" and "The Thirteen-Gun Salute"; Barry Strauss's "The Trojan War"; JD Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye" and F Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" are in the pile at the moment.

But I've got to head off to a book store before we go on holiday, because they won't last a fortnight
