New Shows Coming to FOX

Yesterday I looked at the new television programs coming to NBC, and today I'll take a look at the new lineup coming to the FOX broadcast network.

Bob's Burgers - FOX has some of the best cartoons on television.  This new one deals with a family-run burger joint.  Will it live up to the comedic quality of The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show?

Lonestar - This new drama depicts the saga of a guy living a double-life in Texas.

Mixed Signals - Here is a mid-season sitcom replacement about friends trying to balance their desire to be in a relationship and their enjoyment of being single.

Raising Hope - A pool cleaner raises his baby girl with the alleged help of his dysfunctional family while his girlfriend is in prison.

Ride-Along - Jennifer Beals stars in this mid-season drama that tells the story of civilians spending a shift in a Chicago Police squad car from the viewer's point-of-view.

Running Wilde - Will Arnett portrays an immature playboy trying to win the love of his childhood sweetheart, played by Keri Russell, all told from the perspective of the woman's 12-year-old daughter.

Terra Nova - The most anticipated show coming to the FOX broadcast network is this science fiction drama produced by Steven Spielberg and Brannon Braga.  It tells the tale of a family travelling back in time to prehistoric Earth.  They're promising us dinosaurs, people!

Will any of these turn into hits or will they fade away into TV oblivion?

Terra Nova would be a good bet as long as it does not turn out to be a time-traveling Brady Bunch. It's quite a while since time travel was explored as a series. Quantum Leap did good back then. Let's see if Spielberg can cast his spell...

I'm hoping for the best, too.

Time travel can be great (remember the old show Voyagers about a guy and a kid traveling through time?) and like you mention Quantum Leap was excellent.

Lost has done some interesting things with time travel too.

I just hope Terra Nova doesn't just focus on the dinosaurs because I'm worried that the special effects won't keep up week after week and then it could become cheesy really fast.
