Looking Forward to New York Comic Con 2010

New York Comic Con is coming.  Billed as the "largest pop culture event on the East Coast," it will be a fun few days from October 8 - 10, 2010, at the Jacob K. Javitz Center on the Westside of Manhattan. 

Scheduled to appear are director M. Night Shyamalan, cult favorite actor Bruce Campbell, Battlestar Galactica stars Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer, Heroes actor Milo Ventimiglia, 1970s and 1980s icons Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century), Corey Feldman (Lost Boys), Joyce DeWitt (Three's Company), Richard Hatch (the original Battlestar Galactica) and others. 

There of course will be tons of writers, artists, and editors from the comic book industry, including legends Stan Lee, John Romita Sr., and John Romita Jr.

TNT will be promoting its upcoming alien invasion show Falling Skies, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Noah Wylie.  The BBC will premiere Sherlock, its new contemporary version of the Sherlock Holmes story.  Todd MacFarlane and Curt Schilling will be on hand to publicize the projects from their entertainment company 38 Studios.

There will be panel discussions on graphic novels, the digital future of Marvel Comics, "how to survive the zombie apocalypse," and many others.

Screenings will be held for Secret Origin: The Story of DC Comics, Marvel Anime, and more.
