Dierks Bentley Can Sing

I am not a big country or bluegrass fan, so when a performing artist of that genre grabs my attention, it is a testament to their talent and crossover appeal.  On Thursday morning, I had the pleasure of being in the presence of Dierks Bentley and his fellow musicians as we waited in the Green Room of Live with Regis and Kelly.  I was there to promote Giant Pumpkins at The New York Botanical Garden and Dierks was there to sing a song from his album "Up on the Ridge."

The song, "Draw Me a Map," is quite catchy.  The entire album, actually, is worth checking out even if you don't normally listen to that genre of music.

Dierks and his band sounded great -- it is always a joy to witness in person a performer who can sing live, replicating the terrific vocals caught in the recording studio.

I might have to check out what else I'm missing on the rest of the album.
