Five Years of Married Life

Five years ago today, my lovely wife Juliana and I exchanged vows in front of friends and family.  I cannot believe that half a decade has passed by already.  We now have a beautiful daughter and the future seems full of possibilites.

When we first met at a Web launch party, I fell for her instantly because we seemed to have a lot in common.  I thought, anyone who can smile through my ramblings about movies, TV, and other pop culture nonsense, is a winner in my book.

As we got to know each other over the following months, her honesty was one of many personality traits that made me fall in love with her.  During a writers group meeting that I was spearheading, I felt that everyone was being too timid in their feedback, especially for one of the short plays that I had written.  When it came time for Juliana to give her comments, she was brutally but refreshingly honest, trashing my play, but providing the constructive criticism that I craved.  I knew this was the lady for me.

Happy anniversary, Juliana!  And to my readers, yeah, I'm a sappy romantic.  :)
