Watching and Rewatching My Daughter's Favorite Movie

Like most kids, my daughter loves particular books to be read to her, particular songs to sing, particular TV shows to watch (Dino Dan!), and now a particular movie that she wants to see again and again...and again and again and again.  That movie is How to Train Your Dragon.

My wife and I have now seen that movie a bajillion times.  If bajillion were a real number, it would be halfway between a billion and infinity.

I've seen it so often now, I'm starting to memorize the dialogue.  I'm starting to hear the musical score in my head even when I'm not watching the film.

My confession is that I think I like the movie just as much as she does.  I'm starting to care for these characters -- Hiccup, Astrid, Toothless, and all the rest.  Unlike some annoying films that children become unexplainably addicted to despite their lack of redeeming qualities, How to Train Your Dragon, based on the book series by Cressida Cowel, is the kind of movie that entertains even adult audiences.

So I thank my daughter for her good taste and not tormenting me with a crappy movie.
