Rooting for Lou Ferrigno to Win Celebrity Apprentice

The cast has been announced for the new season of Celebrity Apprentice and I'm picking Lou Ferrigno as my early favorite.  Even though TV's former Incredible Hulk is over sixty years old, he's still an intimidating 6-and-a-half-foot tall muscleman who can pulverize any of those posers he's competing against.  Yet, as I told my siblings and friends when I heard the news that he would be part of Donald Trump's reality show, Ferrigno is a gentle giant and might be too nice to defeat the other cutthroat challengers in the game.  It will be great, however, to see if he has the business acumen to pull off a victory.

The show is best not when it displays these pseudo-celebrities showing off their rolodexes and raising the most money for each competition, but when the contestants have the opportunity to be creative and think outside the box, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills. I hope Ferrigno has that leadership potential.  He's proven he can deal with adversity when he overcame his hearing impairment, becoming successful in life while making no excuses.

Here's the full list of "stars" who will be battling each other until only one is left standing (for the chance to win money for their chosen charities):

Clay Aiken - singer and American Idol runner-up

Marco Andretti - race-car driver, grandson of legend Mario Andretti, replacing his dad Michael Andretti who was originally cast, but had to leave the show

Tia Carrere - actress and singer

Adam Carolla - podcaster and former Man Show and Love Line host

Lou Ferrigno - actor and former bodybuilding champion

Deborah Gibson - entertainer, best known from her teen pop sensation days (when went by the name "Debbie")
