Eliza Dushku Raising Funds for Documentary

Actress Eliza Dushku is hoping to complete a documentary about her trip to Albania, her ancestral homeland. As with many nonfiction motion pictures, it's not an easy project to finance, but she has been reaching out to the public to help raise funds to finish editing it and finally distribute it for audiences everywhere to see. You too can help produce the film by contributing to the production via Kickstarter, or just by spreading the word.

The fundraising campaign ends on July 8 and it's halfway to its goal. For as little as a $10 donation you can help bring Dushku's movie project closer to reality. Hollywood seems to have no problem writing checks for potential blockbusters with physics-defying explosions and 3D special effects, but any film maker will tell you how difficult it is to get a dream documentary finished and most importantly seen by a mass audience.

The story follows Eliza Dushku's trip to Albania as she discovers her heritage -- the country's music, its food, its landscape, and of course its people. It's a story that deserves to be told, hopefully revealing the beauty and history of Albania to many who will be seeing it for the first time.

Contributors will not only help fund the project, but they will also receive benefits for their donation, everything from free screenings, autographed posters, and DVDs to VIP receptions and on-screen producer credits, depending on the level of their participation.  As I mentioned, even if you cannot afford to give anything, you can help the cause by spreading the word to others to build awareness.
