Police Comedies and Police Dramas

The new sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine debuted Tuesday night to high ratings. At first, I couldn't believably see star Andy Samberg in the lead as a brilliant but immature detective named Jake Peralta, even though I liked him on Saturday Night Live, yet I found myself laughing despite myself, and the show had a few interesting moments. The rest of the cast was fun and competent, especially Andre Baugher as the precinct's new chief. I've alays been a fan of cop shows, especially dramas. Comedies have been hit and miss. Do you prefer your police shows full of laughs or full of serious action?  Let's compare.

Will Brooklyn Nine-Nine survive and become a classic or will it fade away into oblivion?
